Did You Know . . .

.. . . that you could use the PRINTSCREEN key to capture [and then print] whatever is shown on your desktop? When you hit the PRINTSCREEN key nothing obvious happens, but in the background your computer has taken a ‘snapshot’ of whatever is on your desktop. It doesn’t tell you or pop up a dialog box, but the image is in your clipboard. If you merely hit the PRINTSCREEN key, the entire desktop will be captured. IF you would like to capture only the activ e portion of your desktop, press ALT+PRINTSCREEN at the same time. This will place the image of only the activ e portion of your desktop into the clipboard.

. . . .that you can use the paste feature or CTRL+V to enter your capture into a document? You can
also open the image in a graphics program or i n Windows Paint, which is part of all Windows operating systems. Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, then Paint. The screen captures shown here were merely pasted and resized within WordPerfect.
