Those of you who did not attend the April meeting missed an informative
and enjoyable evening.
George Purpura and Tim Clinehens propose to collect shareware programs
and utilities that they can burn to CDs and make available to members.
Attendees at the meeting were asked to list their favorite programs
for inclusion on this CD. If you have any programs on a disk that
can be copied, please drop them off to George at his place of business,
A to Z Auto, 1111 Oriskany St, Utica NY between the hours of 7AM and
2PM weekdays. Call him at 732-2214 to make other arrangements.
You do not need to wait for our annual auction to sell equipment.
You may bring something to a general meeting and offer it for sale,
but you must be responsible for it and make your own arrangements.
If you would like to place an ad in the newsletter, please send all
pertinent information to either Bob
or Donna. There is no
charge to members for small ads of computer equipment.
There is still snow on the ground as I write this and the temperature
is below freezing–I am wondering if the grip of winter will ever
leave. I have great plans to see flowers one of these days. Maybe
in my waiting I could do some spring cleaning. Of my computer! When
was the last time you backed up your files, ran a virus scan, or cleaned
out all those unnecessary files that accumulate? Don't wait until
one of those nasty worms or viruses get inside. By then it may be
too late and your files will be gone. Welcome Spring with a clean
and healthy computer.
